Terms & Conditions

By accessing this website, placing an order, or engaging Tech247 Kenya ("Tech247", "we", "us") for any service, you agree to these Terms & Conditions. If you do not agree, please do not use our services.

Scope of work — All web development projects are governed by a written scope agreed before work begins. Any changes to scope requested during a project may result in revised pricing and timelines.

• Fixed quotes — Quoted prices are fixed unless the scope changes. We do not charge hidden fees.
• Delivery timelines — Timelines begin from receipt of all required content and deposit payment. Delays caused by the client (missing content, slow approvals) extend delivery accordingly.
• Client responsibilities — You are responsible for providing accurate content, images, and branding assets. Tech247 is not liable for errors in content supplied by the client.
• Revisions — Projects include a defined number of revision rounds as stated in the quote. Additional revisions are billed at our hourly rate.
• Intellectual property — Upon full payment, you own all custom code and design assets created for your project. Third-party themes, plugins, and stock assets remain subject to their own licences.
• Post-launch support — 30 days of complimentary support is included on all web projects, covering bugs directly attributable to our work. Content changes and new features are billed separately.

E-commerce and M-Pesa integration projects are subject to the web development terms above, plus:

• You are responsible for obtaining your own Safaricom Daraja API credentials and Paybill/Till number. Tech247 can assist with this process.
• Tech247 is not responsible for transaction failures caused by Safaricom network outages, Daraja API downtime, or incorrect credentials supplied by the client.
• M-Pesa transaction fees are charged by Safaricom directly to the end customer or business, not by Tech247.

Pricing — All prices displayed on our website are in Kenyan Shillings (KES) and are subject to change without notice. The price charged is the price confirmed at checkout.

• Stock availability — Products are sold subject to availability. If an item becomes unavailable after your order is placed, we will contact you within 24 hours with alternatives or a full refund.
• Product descriptions — We make every effort to ensure product descriptions and images are accurate. Minor variations in colour or specification may occur.
• Warranties — All new products carry a 1-year warranty against manufacturing defects. Refurbished products carry a 6-month warranty unless stated otherwise. Warranties do not cover accidental damage, liquid damage, or misuse.

• Free diagnosis — We provide a free diagnosis before any repair begins. A written quote is given before work starts — no surprise charges.
• Repair warranty — All repairs carry a 3-month warranty on parts and labour. This covers the specific fault repaired, not unrelated issues.
• Data responsibility — We are not responsible for data loss during repair. You are advised to back up your data before submitting a device. We will make reasonable efforts to preserve your data but cannot guarantee it.
• Uncollected devices — Devices not collected within 60 days of repair completion and repeated failed contact attempts may be disposed of to recover costs.
• Declined repairs — If you decline a repair after diagnosis, a diagnostic fee of up to KES 500 may apply to cover our assessment time.

• Web projects — A 50% deposit is required before work begins. The remaining 50% is due before the site goes live or files are handed over.
• Hardware orders — Full payment is required at checkout via M-Pesa or cash on collection.
• Repair services — Full payment is due on collection of the repaired device.
• Late payment — Overdue invoices on web projects may result in work being paused or completed files being withheld until payment is received.
• Accepted payment methods — M-Pesa, bank transfer, and cash at our Nairobi CBD office.

• Hardware products — You may return a product within 7 days of purchase for a full refund or exchange if it is unused, in original packaging, and accompanied by a receipt. Items showing signs of use may be subject to a restocking fee.
• Defective products — Defective items (manufacturing fault within warranty period) will be repaired, replaced, or refunded at our discretion.
• Web development deposits — The 50% deposit is non-refundable once work has commenced, as it covers time already spent on discovery, design, and planning.
• Repair services — If a repair fails to resolve the stated fault and we cannot fix it, you will receive a full refund of the repair fee.

To the maximum extent permitted by Kenyan law, Tech247 is not liable for:

• Loss of business, revenue, or profits resulting from website downtime or technical issues
• Third-party service failures (Safaricom Daraja, hosting providers, domain registrars)
• Data loss during repair or migration not caused by our direct negligence
• Indirect or consequential damages of any kind

Our total liability in any circumstance is capped at the amount paid by you for the specific service in question.

These terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of Kenya. Any disputes shall first be subject to good-faith negotiation. If unresolved, disputes shall be referred to the courts of Kenya.

We reserve the right to update these Terms at any time. The "Last updated" date above will reflect the most recent version. Continued use of our services after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
